Lunch at the Seerose

Bill and I discovered a great local vegetarian restaurant yesterday. The Seerose, at Mehringdamm 47, is inexpensive and features enormous servings of good honest grub.
Today we shared a hot plate of scrumptious casseroles and a plate of cold salads. With a glass of mineral water for Bill and a Lambsbrau Pilsner for me it all came to 15 euros with tip. Can't beat that!
Three salads -- lentils, beets and white beans.
Three hot dishes -- scalloped potatoes, eggplant casserole and creamed spinach pasta -- with some extra cold salads thrown in -- all served in a ring of couscous. We were stuffed!
The serving staff are both lovely and friendly. We'll eat here again.

  1. Wow! What a healthy & plentiful repast. Such a good price too. I love the decor, the chairs, the chandelier, the paintings, you & Bill certainly fit in - it echoes the spirit of your own abode.
