Pure Roman Colour

Bill and I were walking in Rome with our friend Mariella Bertelli. She walked up to a wall and said, "I love this colour."
Later I took a picture of it for her. Then the impulse grew and I began to document other Roman wall colours.

    Such amazing colours.
How many centuries has Rome been those colours?

  3. Bill told me passers-by looked at me askance as I focused on walls. ;-)
For how long -- a thousand years?

  4. Mariella asked me to post on her behalf this nice comment: "Thank you thank you, John, these are amazingly rich and what variety of tones. And to think that Rome was once blue (so they tell me) but now oh so rose and apricot and peachy and well, so...lustful."
