Here are some details of American artist Kara Walker's unforgettable Burning African Village Play Set with Big House and Lynching, 2006. Painted laser-cut steel.
We've been following Walker's work for years. She has made the silhouette her own -- often filling entire galleries with her installations.
The Brooklyn Museum bought this "play set" in 2008.
Bill and I look for it every time we visit.
Is it very wrong to want one for ourselves?
Even a single fabulous unsettling piece?
