During our visit to Washington, DC, John and I had the pleasure of renting an apartment in the Capital Hill Historic District.
It was the first residential area of the newly-built American capital and features Federal and Victorian townhouses
with tiny, well-kept front gardens
wrought iron fences and stairs to the ground floors
ornate dressings for the doors and windows
and brick sidewalks.
Altogether a charming neighbourhood
to return to at the end of a day of visiting museums and sights.

Good-looking neighbourhood - hope we'll see some pics of the interior.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a neat neighbourhood. We've stayed in Foggy Bottom other visits. Not at all the same. Not sure about interior shots of the apartment. Not really a lot of natural light though it's spacious and even has a fireplace in the living room. Sorry.
