The Rain Forest Dome is one of the outstanding features of Renzo Piano's renovation of the California Academy of Sciences. There is a steamer at the top of the dome, just under the ceiling of the museum.
Exotic birds and butterflies inhabit the whole chamber.
Visitors walk up the ramp into the canopy of the rainforest environment, overlooking the Steinhart Aquarium.
