After we enjoyed the Pier, John and I went in search of Brighton Pavilion, the famous summer palace. It was just up the street.
This fabulous fantasy pairs Indian inspired domes with minarets on the exterior
and outrageous Chinoiserie interiors. What fun!
Can you imagine being invited to dinner in this opulent setting?
Most stunning is the Music Room with its exotic chandeliers and serpent entwined columns
and spectacular mirrors over the fireplace.
The palace gardens are planted with period displays. The Dome in the background was once the stables for the estate.
John went in for close-ups of the flowers.
With one glance backwards we headed off to the train station for our ride home.
