All the guidebooks will tell you that The Ten Bells pub has been here for more than 200 years.
Bill and I were aware of the connection to two of Jack the Ripper's victims, one of whom drank here before her murder, and the other who used to solicit on the sidewalk outside (wiki).
Wikipedia also just confirmed that the name relates to the number of bells in Christ Church, next door (designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor). Bill and I figured as much. One last wiki fact -- the interior tiles are Victorian originals.
Bill and I found The Ten Bells very comfortable and welcoming.
The light is good and so was the people watching.
Down the stairs to the Gents
Historically appropriate graffiti
We last saw a urinal like this in the Museum of London
"Gello Henius"
Back up to the light. "Who Will You Meet?"
All the action was moving outside.
