Mercado de Medellin -- our local market

Bound on the west by Calle Medellin, on the south by Calle Campeche and on the east by Calle Monterrey in Mexico City's Roma Norte area
we find Mercado Medellin, our busy, colourful, neighbourhood, covered-market.
I look like I'm checking my cellphone but it's actually a map.
We love Mexican colour!
Inside it's quite a maze --
in a fun way, of course.
Tacos are king in Mexico City.
Did I mention colour?
It's an Aladdin's cave of produce.
and full of local shoppers
I love the piƱatas.
An aisle of dried goods.
Want some mole? An ancient sauce containing up to 20 ingreients apparently. Here are three flavours.
The market is famous for it's wholesale fresh fish sold in bulk.
We were delighted by this market shrine
and by these opulent florist stalls. The Mexicans love flowers.
In fact, on arrival when we first entered our apartment,
we were greeted by a gorgeous bouquet of lilies.
We slipped out the Calle Monterrey exit and proceeded to our next stop -- Under the Volcano, an English language bookstore nearby.
