Turner Tests His Brush

When you paint, you mix up some colour, pick some up on your brush
And then test out the brush on another piece of paper.
Or the inside cover of your sketchbook.

  1. Interestingly enough I am thinking to start painting again; no money as yet for this luxury. I hope to some day soon. I may share them with folks here. Thank you always for sharing.

  3. It is intriguing indeed to think about a master needing to practice ...
I wonder who thought up the title "Colour Trials; a Loop".
Does Colour Trials sound like a good band name?

  4. Rather than practicing, Mr Turner would be checking the colour before applying it, Lisa. I do it on scraps of paper that I later make into bookmarks. Ever practical.
