Old Spitalfields Market

At the corner of Commercial Street and Fournier
stands the entrance to the Old Spitalfields Market.
John and I usually walked through it on our way to and from Liverpool Street Tube station.
In 1682 there was a produce market on this site.  The later Victorian building now has a different market each day -- designer clothes to vintage stalls.

Sunday is busy with Petticoat Lane Market and Brick Lane markets nearby, and we heard some locals say the Thursday Vintage market is the best.
Let's exit onto busy Commercial Street.
Shall we have a drink at the Ten Bells Pub across the street?

  1. Nice, I will have to visit the Harrison Market on Sundays here to share with you folks; they have it all; unsure if they have started as yet this season.? Thank you for sharing.
