Ji Dachun at MACRO

Rome's MACRO Gallery of contemporary art had many individual small exhibitions. I was attracted to a show of paintings by Chinese artist Ji Dachun called Forgotten Desires and Accompanying Clouds.
Plastic Landscape, 2011-12. Acrylic on canvas. Courtesy Fred Torres Collaborations, New York.
Holy Mother A Hostage, 2011. Acrylic on canvas. Courtesy Aye Gallery, Beijing; Barbara Gross Gallery, Munich. I looked at the details closely.
The circular motifs reminded me of Canadian artist Gary Evans' work.
I look forward to seeing more of Ji Dachun's work.

    1. Yes - muted - but so FULL of colour too. I find that technique so interesting. :)
