Concert at San Eustachio

Last night Bill and I went to a lovely concert at the Church of San Eustachio. I you've ever seen a picture of the church you'll remember it because it features the head of the stag that appeared to St. Eustace with a crucifix between its antlers. The church is in a side street running off from the Pantheon.

The High Point University Chorus is from North Carolina. They sang a wonderful program of arrangements of choral music based on African American Spirituals. It was lovely to hear their young voices and see their unabashed pleasure when the mostly Italian audience gave them a standing ovation.

Marc Ashley Foster, the musical director.
