Julia Child's Kitchen

Bill and I visited Julia Child's kitchen today at the Smithsonian Museum of American History. It was protected by a clear plastic cage in its own little corner of the museum.
Child is so funny! The photo above is of her famous kitchen in Paris. This must be a portrait by her husband Paul Child.
 Child's American kitchen -- full-sized for adults.
Preserved for future generations of cooks and diners.

  1. Haha! Full-size adults indeed! Look how high the counter is, compared to the table!

  2. We just watched Julie and Julia and they featured this very kitchen at the end of the movie -- a perfect ending to our trip. Back to Toronto tomorrow morning.

  3. I thought she had her pots on a pegboard with the outlines drawn around each one...o, maybe that's my dad's workbench :)
