A Tomato From Canada

Our Allotment gardeners, Nancy and Rebecca, slipped us this plump brown heritage tomato yesterday. 
Bill and I cannot wait to slice this up and marinate it in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, raw garlic and the last of the basil from our balcony.

  1. Such restraint! I think I would have cut in half, and bit right into it.
    I really like the brown tomatoes (OK and the green ones, the yellow ones, the orange ones, and the red ones).
    You may have started a series - photos of tomatoes from Canada.

  2. We love all the fine young tomatoes, too. A series of portraits would be fun. Anyone who wants to donate -- all tomatoes are welcome!
